My Big Surprise

Here it is! The moment you've been waiting for!! Today I get to tell you that I am now on the CT for

Laurie's Scraps!!

She has a new kit out today, called Stars and Stripes.
It's perfect for all those pictures of the 4th of July, summertime BBQs, family get-togethers, military men/women. I just love this kit!!

Here's what I did with it:

This is my little brother - probably the most handsome looking marine you'll ever see!

And this is our family reunion last year. Lots of fun!

Hop over to Laurie's blog to get the kit and a freebie!
If you come back later, I'll probably have a template or quick page or something fun to share with you (that is, assuming I can figure out 4Shared)!

Template Challenge

Here is what I did for the template challenge going on over at Laurie's Scrap forum.

Kit is School Girl by Laurie's Scraps
Stitching by Gunhild
"cheese" alpha is Peel and Stick alpha by Misty Cato

Just a Little Humor!

I convinced my sweet, wonderful, awesome hubby to buy a new laptop so I could scrap anywhere. Actually, I didn't have to do much convincing! There's just something about guys and electronics, sort of like me and chocolate!

Anyway, I sat down at the desktop computer today and he said,
"What?? You're not using your new scrap-top??"

So all you scrappers out there, pull up your scrap-tops and scrap awhile!

Father's Day Gifts

I'm really embarrassed to admit to the fact that DH doesn't have any recent pics of our 3 oldest kids for his desk at work. I'm also really embarrassed to admit that he doesn't have a single pic of our youngest (who is 1 yr. old) on his desk at all!! In fact, I've never even had a single professional picture of him!

So, for Father's Day, I decided to do a little 6X6 layout of each kid and mod podge it to a ceramic tile. Our oldest son isn't cooperating and won't let me take his picture, so they're not done yet. But here's what I have for the other three.

Kit: Watch Me Grow-Boy by Laurie's Scraps

Kit: Blooming Friendship by JadyDay Studio
Ribbon (recolored) by A Work in Progress

Kit: Make a Wish by Stolen Moments and Trixie Scraps
Based on a LO I saw on the Digi-Designs by Nicole blog for the Sweet Flora kit

I think they're turning out really cute, and will hopefully look even better on a tile. Once I get the last one totally done, I will post a picture of it here.
